Heavy congestion and tailbacks are being reported on the A14 and across Ipswich this morning following a series of accidents.
A multi-vehicle crash involving up to six vehicles at the Copdock Interchange and a single-vehicle incident at the Wherstead Interchange have caused the widespread disruption during the morning rush-hour.
No injuries have been reported, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
It reportedly brought sections of the A14, A137 and key routes in to Ipswich town centre to a standstill.
The crash involving between five and six cars took place at just after 7.50am eastbound at junction 55 at on the A1214 at the Copdock Interchange.
Meanwhile a white Audi careered in to a central reservation on the A137 Wherstead Interchange, southbound between junction 56 on the A14 and Station Road, at 7.25am, the force spokesman added.
Pockets of localised flooding have also been reported in the Copdock area. It comes after a night and morning of stormy weather featuring thunderstorms and hail storms.
