The full line-up of chefs to demonstrate their skills and knowledge at the Ipswich Food and Drink Forknight has been revealed.

The event will kick-off with the All About Ipswich food and drink market on Sunday on the Cornhill featuring locally renowned food and drink brands.

Between 10am and 3pm at the market there will be a number of cooking demonstrations. From 10am until 11am Ipswich’s ‘artisan butcher’ Jamie Willows from the Rose House Butchery will be showing off some this county’s finest meat cuts and what to do with them

Between 11am and 12pm Jason Shaw, head chef at The Wentworth Hotel in Aldeburgh, will be on show and from 12pm until 1pm the head chef at The Brewery Tap, Mike Keen, will provide a demonstration.

Then at 1pm it is the turn of Emma Crowhurst, who started her career at Leith’s school of Food and Wine in London.

She said: “Suffolk is renowned for being a foodie destination and is high on the list for food tourism. I am very excited to be a part of this great event and to showcase the fantastic produce in Ipswich, at the heart of our county.”

The final slot of the day goes to Suffolk chef and businesswoman Julie Foster

Other stalls will include Suffolk Smokehouse and Deli, La Carrozza pizza by Slow Dough Bakery, Stokes Sauces, Xpresso, Hundred River Artisan Ice Cream, Gourmet Bacon, Deepmills Coffee, Chocolate Planet, Rose House Butchery, Jacey’s Coffee House, and some of Suffolk Food Hall’s primary residents which include Arabella Reeve Hog Roast, Syms Panty and Farmhouse Cooking.

Paul Clement, chief executive of Ipswich Central, said: “We are extremely pleased to have an exciting range of local food and drink brands, traders and chefs visiting Ipswich to showcase their produce and skills in our county town.”

The food and drink market will be the first to use the town’s new, branded, All About Ipswich market stalls that have been provided by Ipswich Central’s X Fund award.
