Suffolk-based ICT provider QDOS Communications has completed three more major installations for up-market restaurants group Caprice Holdings.
QDOS, which has its UK operations and support centre in West Road, Ipswich, along with offices in London, Amsterdam and Washington DC, has provided integrated telecoms, IT and internet systems for three of the group’s Ivy Collection restaurants, in the City of London, Marlow in Buckinghamshire and Cobham, Surrey.
It fitted Avaya telephone systems to manage the high number of expected reservation calls, integrated with OpenTable, the restaurant reservations system connected to the Avaya contact centre.
IT networks supporting Google Apps for Business were also installed, enabling access to email, cloud storage, collaboration tools and business-grade security. QDOS will also provide around-the-clock remote and on-site service support for the systems.
The latest installations are in addition to nine already carried out for the group since 2014, starting with the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden.
Simon Catterick, chief executive at QDOS, said: “Having supplied telecoms, IT and internet solutions to all the Ivy Collection restaurants, we were delighted to be awarded another contract from Caprice Holdings.
“The Ivy venues are always very popular, therefore the reservations offices are inevitably busy and the technology in the restaurants needs to work at an optimum level to meet the requirements of diners and staff.”
He added: “Caprice are working with us on a busy development schedule with a further 10 restaurants this year located in Dublin, Edinburgh, Tower Bridge, Bath, Guildford, York, Cheltenham, Harrogate, Manchester and Leeds, with more set to follow in 2018.”
