A child has been injured during a road accident in Ipswich this morning.

The young pedestrian, aged 8 or 9, hurt their leg after colliding with a red Ford Transit on Stone Lodge Lane West shortly before 9am.

The injuries are not reported to be serious although an ambulance attended as a precautionary measure.
