Ipswich council is carrying out works to several car parks over the next few weeks to make them safer and more attractive for users – but there will be some temporary closures.
Fore Street car park will be partially shut on Tuesday, May 8, and West End Road car park will be partially closed on Friday, May 11. Fore Street will then be fully closed between May 18 to June 7 for major work.
The small car park near the Sir Alf Ramsey statue in Portman Road will be partially closed on June 8 and fully closed on June 29.
The Portman Road car park next to Archant’s Portman House building will be closed from July 13 to July 20 after a partial closure on July 3.
A Council spokesman said: “We want to offer a better parking experience to our customers and this work will be done as quickly as possible to keep disruption to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience while the work is going on but we do have alternative parking.”
