A woman was cut free from a vehicle in the early hours of the morning after a crash in Ipswich.

Fire crews from Ipswich and Princes Street attended the two-vehicle incident in Robin Drive at 1.26am after being called by the ambulance service.

By 2.23am firefighters had removed the roof of one of the vehicles and freed the casualty.

She was then taken to hospital by ambulance after complaining of back pain.

There were not thought to be any serious injuries to anyone else.
