Ipswich: Man charged over playground assault

A multi-agency crime operation held in Norfolk, including a temporary base at the show ground and a van on the A47 targetes criminals travelling in and around the county and denying them use of the county’s roads.
Operation Utah monitored key roads in Norfolk and using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, officers stoped suspicious vehicles and escort them to four check sites in the county.

A man has been charged over an assault in a playground which took place in February.

Luke Plant, 23, of Burlington Road, Ipswich, was charged in connection with an incident which took place along the footpath in a playground in Chesterton Close, between midnight and 12.30am on Thursday, February 13.

He has been charged with assault (actual bodily harm) and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on August 11.
