Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery, which happened at about 6am on Saturday in Plover Road, close to the junction with Mallard Way.

The victim was walking to the bus stop when he was assaulted by the three men, one of whom held a knife towards him.

They demanded his property and the victim handed over some cash.

The victim sustained cuts and bruising to the face as a result of the incident.

All of the offenders were described as being in their “late teens” and were wearing hooded tops.

The second man is described as black, about 6ft, of a large build and was wearing a black hooded top with a green logo on it.

The third offender is described as a black man, about 6ft 3ins tall and of a slim build.
