A man who was thrown out of a club and ended up swearing at police has been fined £200.
Sean Kavanagh, of Heath Road, Ipswich, pleaded guilty before the town’s magistrates to being drunk and disorderly on June 25.
Prosecutor Wayne Ablett said the 24-year-old had been removed from The Grand in Bent Hill, Felixstowe, just before 3am because of his behaviour.
Police were outside and had seen what had happened. They went to speak to Kavanagh.
The court was told officers were met with a string of abuse with Kavanagh swearing at them and he was arrested.
Kavanagh, representing himself, said: “I don’t remember a lot. It’s really embarrassing. I’m really sorry. In don’t really go out drinking much. I went out that time and paid the price.”
In addition to his fine Kavanagh was ordered to pay £85 towards the prosecution costs and a further £30 to the victims’ fund.
