Police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to question after an attempted robbery in Ipswich.

A man on a bike tried to steal a handbag from a 21-year-old woman when he rode past her at the junction of Derby Road and Felixstowe Road at around 9.50pm on Sunday.

She managed to keep hold of it and the cyclist rode off in to Felixstowe Road.

The woman sustained swelling to her shoulder following the incident.

The offender is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build and aged in his 20s to 30s. He was wearing dark coloured clothing and a black coloured hat with ear flaps. He was riding a dark coloured mountain bike.

Witnesses or people with information relating to this incident are urged to call police on 101.
