PEOPLE across Ipswich have had their say and voted for their favourite businesses based in the town.

The recent survey was carried out by website thebestof.co.uk and local champion Kevin Barber confirmed the results, which saw hair salon John Olivers come out in the top spot.

The poll was part of a national campaign to find the country’s most loved businesses. Mr Barber said: “It just goes to show how much our communities are supporting their local independent businesses, which is great news for the British high street, especially during difficult economic times.”

Others in the Ipswich top 10 included BKP Limou-sines, HomeStore, Belvedere Reproductions, Aqua Eight and Barton Electrical.
