A mobile phone has been stolen from a handbag in Ipswich.

Police are appealing for information after the theft in Tavern Street, outside Nationwide between 12pm and 12.30pm on Sunday.

The thief stole the HTC mini mobile phone from a woman’s handbag kept on her shoulder.
