Ipswich: Woman seriously injured after being struck by car

Witnesses are being sought after a woman was struck by a car in Nacton Road in Ipswich yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to the incident which occurred at around 5:30pm at the junction with Crane Boulevard where a Smart Fortwo vehicle collided with the woman.

The woman, who is in her forties, has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with head, chest and pelvic injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the woman prior to the incident is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101
