A CHARITABLE duo have scaled the heights of the UK’s three biggest mountains... dressed as lions.
Dan Oxlade, from Ipswich and Mark Wilson, of Felixstowe, tackled the Three Peaks challenge on September 15 and 16.
Dan and Mark completed the trip in just under 32 hours and raised £600 for the charity, Challenge World.
“It was brilliant,” said Dan.
“We had a great time doing it and it was a great experience.
“When we climbed Snowdon, it was snowy and we got some amazing views.”
Mark will be travelling to Africa with a team from the charity in November and they will be working in Kenya and Tanzania.
As part of the trip, Mark will be working at a school and the team will also be providing medical help while they are out there.
Mark’s trip is the reason the duo decided to dress as lions for the challenge – and it proved to be a big hit with other walkers.
Dan added: “A lot of people asked us about the lion costumes – it attracted quite a lot of attention.”
