Ipswich town leaders have pledged to take action after a group of travellers set up camp in an Ipswich park.


A number of caravans moved on to Gippeswyk Park, in south west Ipswich, at the end of last week.

It is understood the group took up residence on Friday and Ipswich Borough Council have said they are aware of the issue.

A spokesman for the council said: “The borough is liaising with the relevant teams and will take appropriate action when necessary.”
