Firefighters didn’t have to go far to help a child at the weekend - locked in a car next to the fire station.

Officers were called to the vehicle parked in the car park next to Princes Street Fire Station at just before 3pm, yesterday.

They successfully gained access to the car to rescue the baby from the backseat and were back at base by 3.05pm.
