A man snatched a handbag off a woman’s shoulder before running away.

The incident happened in Cemetery Road at around 11am yesterday.

A black man, aged around 25, approximately 5ft 7ins tall and of average build, who was wearing a red hooded Nike top, grabbed the bag and ran away into Suffolk Road.

The handbag contained a Sony Experia mobile phone, cash and cards.
