Fire crews in Ipswich have dealt with an incident at a Co-op shop in the town.

Firefighters were called to the shop in Belstead Hills, Sheldrake Drive at 7.35pm this evening after a fire alarm activated at the address.

One fire engine from Princes Street arrive at 7.42pm and found smoke logging the shop and heavy smoke logging the store room. Using a thermal imaging camera firefighters investigated the scene and isolated the boiler.

The incident was brought under control by 8.32pm.
