More than 70 Suffolk-based businesswomen attended a Ladies Networkwork Evening hosted by the Ipswich office wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin.

The evening, the third in an on-going series of such events being organised by the Brewin Dolphin Ipswich office, was held Wherstead Park, just outside Ipswich.

It provided an opportunity for professional women to meet and share experiences and ideas. Lynette Allen, author and professional speaker, whose focus is on developing women for leadership, also gave a talk on changing the landscape for women in the workplace.

During the evening, a toast was proposed to former British No 1 tennis player Elena Baltacha who was guest speaker of the first event in the series, held last November, and who died last month after a battle with liver cancer.

Louise Summerfield of Brewin Dolphin said: “I was thrilled to see such a great turnout to Brewin Dolphin’s third ladies networking event in Ipswich. It really is fantastic to see so many successful Suffolk women together in one room, sharing and learning from each other’s challenges and experiences in the workplace.”

Andrew Wheeler, head of Brewin Dolphin Ipswich, added: “We are building an inspirational network of talented women from across Suffolk and I am delighted that Brewin Dolphin Ipswich are facilitating such a valuable and important initiative”.
