TAELNTED acts from across the town are invited to showcase their skills for the fifth year in a row.
Ipswich Has Got Talent is returning to the town again.
The talent show, which is open to all ages and supported by Suffolk Constabulary and Ipswich Borough Council, will be officially launched on March 23 at 1pm at Revolucion De Cuba bar in Ipswich.
The theme of this year’s show is stage or film musicals.
Audiences can look forward to an evening of local talent, where songs from classics such as Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, Les Miserables, The Lion King, The Blues Brothers, Grease and Jersey Boys and many more will be performed.
Kevin Smith, representing the Ipswich Has Got Talent Committee, said: “This is a community event and is all about promoting Ipswich as a safe night out for all.
“We are using Best Bar None accredited venues for the auditions and the main show.
“We are really looking forward to this year’s event – it should be the best yet and we are encouraging all ages/groups from any background to come forward and show just how much talent Ipswich has, they can perform a song, dance to music or perform specialist acts, they can be alone, a pair, bands, or a choir, everyone is welcome.”
Auditions will be taking place at Best Bar None accredited venues across the town in May and June. The first one will be at The Kingfisher on May 19 at 3pm, followed by The New Spread Eagle on June 9 at 5pm, Isaacs on June 16 at 11am and Revolucion de Cuba on June 30 at 3pm.
Sponsors for this year’s event are Planet Music, Elm Studios, Tangerine Graphics, Grapevine and SummerIsle Studios.
