Fed-up residents today called on the authorities to take action and stop rubbish being discarded in an Ipswich street.
People living near Kenyon Street claim the road is regularly filled with bin bags and has become a haven for flytippers, who leave items including beds, sofas and mattresses in the street.
One homeowner, who asked to remain anonymous, said they had been in contact with the borough council for the last three years, trying to get the situation sorted.
The homeowner added: “It is a long-term issue and it is just not going to go away.
“People need to be told you are not supposed to put rubbish out on the ground.
“It shouldn’t be left to residents to have to ring up twice a week for years on end.”
The Ipswich Star contacted the borough council to discuss the claims but at the time of going to press, nobody was available to comment on the matter.
