Ipswich: Crews tackle kitchen fire

FIRE crews have been called to a kitchen blaze in Turin Street this evening.

Two appliances from Princes Street weer sent to the scene at about 5.30pm where a fire had taken hold of a kitchen in the ground floor of a terraced house.

Fire fighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and were back at base by 6.20pm.

The Colchester Borough Election count at Charter Hall.

Votes cast in Colchester and Ipswich today will be counted through the night and our reporters Will Lodge and Paul Geater will be there to hear who has been elected in each ward.
