FIRE crews have been called to a kitchen blaze in Turin Street this evening.

Two appliances from Princes Street weer sent to the scene at about 5.30pm where a fire had taken hold of a kitchen in the ground floor of a terraced house.

Fire fighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and were back at base by 6.20pm.
