Fire crews were sent to two suspicious incidents in Ipswich overnight, including a bin fire and a garage fire.
The bin fire was reported in Oak Hill Lane at 9.25pm and on arrival, firefighters from Princes Street station arrived to find that the flames had spread. The bin had been placed next to a house and the fire spread to the property.
Firefighters used a hose reel to tackle the flames, which were out by 10.03pm.
The crew returned to base at 10.18pm.
Later, several calls were received about a garage fire in Plover Road. Two crews from Princes Street were sent to the scene at 2.54am and found the garage - and a car - well alight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and a jet to extinguish the flames by 4.05am.
Both incidents are being treated as suspicious but are not at this stage believed to be connected.
