FIRE crews were scrambled after a child was locked inside a car in Ipswich.
A crew from Ipswich East fire station was called to Elderberry Road at 11.39am.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the child - whose gender and age was not disclosed - was freed within a quarter of an hour of the crew arriving.
Fire fighters, who used specialist cutting equipment to get into the car, were back at their bases shortly after midday.

"child locked inside a car"? Why not simply unlock the car? How did it happen, and why? Surely the entire story is missing.
