Local businesses are benefitting from the pool of graduate talent from the local university.
Four University Campus Suffolk graduates have joined Trinity Park where indoor and outdoor events take place throughout the year.
The BA (Hons) Event and Tourism Management graduates, Leanne Carhart, Samantha James, Sarah Jay and Emma Poll, were originally appointed on placement at Trinity Park Events Ltd during their studies at UCS and have since gone on to secure longer term employment.

The Event Management and Tourism team at UCS has forged a well established relationship with local businesses and recently ranked in the top six for its subject area in the Guardian university league table which ranks all UK universities according to: their student/staff ratio; graduate career prospects; what grades applicants need to get a place; a value-added score that compares students’ entry qualifications with their final degree results; and how satisfied final-year students are with their courses, based on results from the annual National Student Survey.
Course Leader Laura Locke said: “Students on the Event and Tourism Management programme benefit significantly from the partnerships that have been formed with employers such as Trinity Park, which undoubtedly contributes to the added value of this unique programme at UCS. We frequently have news of students who have secured employment due to the work-based learning that has occurred as part of the curriculum and are making some exciting plans for 2015.”
