A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a woman was touched inappropriately in Ipswich last weekend

The incident happened in Lady Lane outside a tattoo shop at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday.

A woman was standing in the street when a man approached her. He tried to speak with her and then touched her on the chest numerous times.

The woman ran away.

A 63-year-old man from Ipswich is currently at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, after being arrested today, on suspicion of sexual assault on a female.

Suffolk police has called for any witnesses to come forward. If you can help call 101 and speak to PC Philip Burton, quoting crime reference IC/14/568.
