POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery where a man had his mobile phone and wallet stolen.

The incident happened just after 10pm on Tuesday, October 30 in Ancaster Road in Ipswich.

A 20-year-old man was walking along the road when he was approached by three males.

One of the men asked him for a cigarette before he was punched in the face and his mobile phone and wallet were stolen from his pocket.

All three men were black. The first man is described as of stocky build, 26-30 years of age and wearing a grey hooded top with black arms.

The second man is described as aged between 26-30, he had a goatee beard and wore a black jacket.

The third man is described as aged between 26-30 and wearing a black jacket.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
