Ipswich: Man wanted by police after stabbing in Sapphire Close

Sean Stewart aged 28 years from Thackeray Road, Ipswich is sought in connection with a stabbing incident which happened along a footpath behind Sapphire Close, Ipswich between 9.50pm and 10.20pm on Sunday 6 July where a man in his 30s sustained serious stab wounds.

Police want to speak to an Ipswich man in connection with a stabbing.

Sean Stewart, 28, of Thackeray Road, is wanted in connection with a stabbing incident which took place along a footpath behind Sapphire Close in Ipswich between 9.50pm and 10.20pm on July 6. A man in his 30s sustained serious stab wounds.

Shaun Webber, 22, of Fore Street, Ipswich, has been charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident and is due to appear before Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on October 2.

Police have so far been unable to trace Mr Stewart and hope that an appeal to the public will help locate him.

He is described as white, with light brown hair, bushy eyebrows, blue eyes and two long scars on his left forearm.

Police advise that he should not be approached.

People with any information about his whereabouts are urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
