Ipswich: Man who breached ASBO twice in one day will be sentenced today

A MAN who breached an anti-social behaviour order twice in one day is due to be sentenced today.
Billy Whinney was made the subject of the ASBO by magistrates in 2010 and under its terms was banned from associating with a man called Richard Scarse in Renfrew Road, Ipswich.
Scott Wainwright, prosecuting at Ipswich Crown Court, said on April 29 Whinney was seen at around 3pm and 5pm with Mr Scarse in Renfrew Road.
When a police officer tried to arrest Whinney he allegedly pulled away from the officer and struck him in the face with his open palm.
Whinney, 19, of Maidenhall Green, Ipswich, denied two offences of breaching his ASBO and assaulting the police officer by beating.
He was found guilty of the two offences of breaching his ASBO but not guilty of assaulting the officer. Whinney had denied assaulting the police officer.

Just the two breaches, then? Nice to see the message is getting through and at least it`s down to single digits. Put him somewhere he can`t breach and save the police all this mucking about.
