POLICE were called to reports of concern for a man’s safety in Ipswich.

Three police cars were sent to the scene in London Road, near the Kingsley Hotel, at around 6.30pm.

A Suffolk police spokesman said they were called to assist with a man with mental health issues.

“The man did not threaten anyone and was calmed down and taken to accident and emergency.”
