A VICTIM of a paedophile musician today told how he superimposed her face, and those of other girls he knew, over images of child pornography.

Distinguished organist David Templing, who ran Haven Keyboards in Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, is now awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to nine charges of making child pornography.

The 54-year-old, of Manor Road, Martlesham, also admitted an offence of voyeurism.

Speaking publicly for the first time, one of the girls he befriended spoke of her disgust after discovering the perfectly decent photos he had taken of her were then used for his own means to convert them on to indecent images.

The woman, who knew Templing when she was aged around ten years old, said: “What he has done is horrific.

“He got to know young girls and took photos of them. He then used Photoshop to cut out their faces and put them on to indecent images, to make them look like the girls he knew were in the indecent images.”

The woman believes the same thing happened to several other girls.

She said she discovered Templing had created indecent photos of her when she contacted police after hearing they had been investigating the musician, who played concerts around Suffolk.

She said: “I contacted police and said I had known him when I was about nine or ten, and had always found him creepy.

“Then I found out the police already had pictures of me they had taken from his computer.

“There were girls who appeared regularly in photos on his computer and I was one of those.

“I was absolutely disgusted. I think he is a very sick individual.

“What makes me angry is when someone has downloaded images they are sick, but it makes it worse when you think he had met the girls.

“He is manipulative and controlling of young girls, in my opinion.

“I would like him to go to prison for a long time.”

At his plea hearing before Ipswich Crown Court last Friday, Templing admitting a combination of charges which included making pseudo-photographs of children, as well as making indecent photographs of children.

The charges relating to the child pornography originally alleged Templing had made 5,817 indecent photos, or pseudo photographs, of children.

However, his solicitor Craig Marchant told the court the actual figures were unclear and needed verification. The accusations relate to between April 4, 2005 and October 1, 2011. The voyeurism charge occurred between May 1, 2004 and December 31, 2010.

Templing was given bail, pending pre-sentence reports being compiled.

He is due to be sentenced in the week commencing December 17.
