A scooter rider is in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Ipswich this morning.

The collision involving a Piaggio scooter and a blue Peugeot took place in White House Road shortly after 8.35am.

The man in his 50s was taken to Ipswich Hospital suffering from back pain, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

The road was closed and traffic was redirected before the road reopened at around 9.30am.
