Ipswich: Police hunt for armed man after attempted robbery at shop in Bramford Road

09:34 02 May 2014

Police are today hunting a man following an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ipswich.

The man, armed with a knife, entered the store in Bramford Road and demanded cash from the till after asking a male staff member for some tobacco.

The threat was made while the shop worker had his back turned.

No money was handed over and the man fled the store empty-handed.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall, in his mid to late 20s, of medium/heavy build, with facial stubble and short dark hair.

Call police on 101 with information.

  • It is one and the same, I think it was to avoid confusion when there were 2 post offices in Bramford road, this one was then listed as Adair road to distinguish between them and its never changed.

  • I thought this was the Tesco store on Bramford Road, not Adair Road.
