POLICE are still working to piece together how a young musician drowned in the River Orwell.

Peter Ralph, 26, was discovered in the water close to Stoke Bridge on September 10.

A post mortem was carried out in London and found that the cause of Mr Ralph’s death was drowning. However, further tests were due to take place, including a toxicology report.

Officers from Suffolk police also appealed for members of the public to come forward if they saw Mr Ralph on the day before or on the morning of his death.

Since the appeal, a number of people have come forward but police are still hoping more witnesses will come forward to help with their investigations.

It is hoped members of the public will be able to enlighten police as to how Mr Ralph ended up in the river.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said officers were still waiting to learn the result of the tests and a full post-mortem examination.

The former Dale Hall Primary and Northgate High School student had been living in Cavendish Lodge and was seeking help and support for a drug addiction.
