TWO people have been given oxygen after a fire broke out in their home.

Crews from Princes Street fire station were called to a flat in Trafalgar Close in the town after receiving reports that a fire alarm had been triggered and smoke was coming from the property.

A spokesman said: “Firefighters were in attendance by 8.26am and arrived to find a small fire in a flat, which they extinguished immediately.
“Two elderly persons were administered oxygen and the crews ventilated the property. Both fire engines were back at home station by 9.31am.”
