THE emergency services have attended the scene of a four-car collision in Ipswich.

Police were called to an incident on the junction of Woodbridge Road and Khartoum Road, involving a Ford Mondeo, a Toyota Carina, a Toyota Avensis and a Peugeut 306 at about 6pm.

Firefighters removed the roof of the Mondeo to release the driver, who was complaining of back pain and was taken to hospital. The driver of the Toyota Carina was taken to hospital on a spinal board as a precaution.

No other injuries have been reported.

The road was clear by 8pm.
