EMERGENCY services were called to Ipswich town centre this morning after receiving reports that a woman had been hit by a bus.

Police and an ambulance crew were sent to Dogs Head Street at just after 11am following the incident, which happened near the bus station.

The woman is not believed to be seriously hurt and was given treatment at the scene by paramedics.

An eyewitness said she had been able to walk to the ambulance.
