A WOMAN in her 80s was airlifted to hospital after falling down stairs and suffering a head injury.
The woman was given advanced life support by a East Anglian Air Ambulance critical care paramedic and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, for further treatment.
The incident happened on Wednesday.
