Former Ipswich Town fans’ favourite Jimmy Bullard begins his quest to being crowned King of the Jungle tonight.

This year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off on ITV at 9pm, with the ex-Town midfielder the early favourite to win in the outback.

Other celebs starting a possible three weeks in the jungle are newsman Michael Buerk, presenter Melanie Sykes, model-singer Natalie Forde, actor Craig Charles, reality TV’s Kendra Wilkinson, rapper Tinchy Stryder, superbike champ Carl Fogarty, ‘Allo ‘Allo!’s Vicki Michelle and TOWIE’s Gemma Collins.

  • I wonder just how many articles the star can eke out of this non-news item???

  • Our local comics seem delighted to have something with an extremely tenuous local connection to write about. I suppose it saves their journalists (ahem) having to go to local restaurants (which they can't find) or cruises (which perhaps they never actually went on) or for their 'photography department' (ahem ahem) to capture all those police, fire, ambulance incidents using remarkably similar photos (ahem ahem ahem) or to be hidden inside a crime scene and capture THAT burglar on camera (who seems to be the same person each time and looks like he is in a school play). Ahem ahem ahem ahem etc.

  • Great guy to have around. During his short time at Ipswich he gave everyone a lift.
