Students at Kesgrave High School will be taking to the stage tomorrow and Friday for two performances of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Show director Sarah Wheatley, who will be returning from maternity leave to watch the show, said the students had worked tirelessly over the past three months of rehearsals.

“It’s been great because the kids are from across the different age groups but they’ve all been working together and have put in so much time and effort beyond their studies – it’s all been in their own time.”

Students from every year group aged between 11 and 18 have all been involved in the performances with leading roles going to some of the sixth-formers who have been studying it for their A-levels.

Doors open at the high school’s Thomas Theatre at 7pm on each night. The show is scheduled to run for 90 minutes with a short interval. Tickets costing £2.50 for concessions or £4.50 for adults are available from www.kesgrave.suffolk.sch.uk/
