A WOMAN was freed from the wreckage of a crash by fire crews in the early hours of today.
The single-vehicle accident happened shortly before 2.50am in Upper Street, Layham.
Police officers at the scene alerted the fire brigade reporting one motorist trapped.
Crews from Hadleigh, Princes Street and Sudbury were sent to the scene.
Using specialist cutting equipment firefighters helped the release the woman into the care of waiting paramedics.
