SENIOR officials were on hand to officially open a re-vamped high school and sixth form.

Ticky Wright and Brian MallerDeborah Cadman, chief executive of Suffolk County Council, was at Alde Valley School - previously Leiston High School - yesterday.
She met with students and staff and enjoyed a tour of the Seaman Avenue site before visiting the new Alde Valley 6th Form Centre, at the town’s former middle school in Waterloo Avenue.
The high school underwent a major refurbishment ahead of welcoming its new students last month.
