POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Lowestoft last night.
At about 9pm, a man wearing dark clothes and a balaclava entered an off-licence in Lawson Road via the main entrance.
Holding what appeared to be a handgun, he approached the female shop worker, threw a black bag at her and demanded money.
The worker twice told the man there was no money at the premises. He then became agitated and pushed a scratchcard stand off the counter before running out of the shop down Lawson Road towards Clifton Road.
The offender is described as a man with piercing blue eyes. He was wearing a dark grey jacket with its hood up, a full-face balaclava, black gloves, black jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call DC Denise Davey at Lowestoft CID on 101.
