Needham Market: Power cut affecting homes and businesses

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said engineers are working to return power supplies to normal for some customers in Needham Market after one of our low voltage overhead power lines was damaged by a third party.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said engineers are working to return power supplies to normal for some customers in Needham Market after one of our low voltage overhead power lines was damaged by a third party.

A number of homes and businesses in the Needham Market area are currently without power.

Engineers are working to repair an overhead power line which was damaged at around 1.30pm today.

Originally there were 10 customers without power, however as of 5.25pm only three remained unconnected.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “Engineers are working to return power supplies to normal for some customers in Needham Market after one of our low voltage overhead power lines was damaged by a third party.

“Some customers in the School Road and High Street area had their electricity supplies interrupted as a result of the damage at about 1.30pm today.

“We would like to reassure our customers that we will restore their power as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience.”
