POLICE officers investigating a fail-to-stop crash in Needham Market are today trying to trace the lorry involved.
The accident happened at around 9.30am yesterday in Mill Lane.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said a Renault curtain-sided lorry drove along Mill Lane from Needham Market and struck the overhanging roof of a property in the road.
It is thought the lorry stopped briefly under the roof before reversing all the way back along the lane at some speed towards Needham.
The spokeswoman said significant damage was caused to the roof and the guttering was ripped off.
Police are making enquiries to trace the vehicle - which was blue without any immediately visible livery or company markings - and are asking the driver or anyone with information which may help trace the lorry to call PC 356 Watkins at Halesworth Roads Policing Unit on 101.

I expect they'd like to find the driver too?
