Newmarket: Car reported being in wrong side of A14 carriageway

15:54 02 March 2014

Police were called out to west Suffolk this afternoon (Sunday) after reports of a car travelling down the wrong side of the A14 carriageway.

It was seen travelling westbound towards Cambridge close to the junction of the A142 near Newmarket, just before 3pm.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said they sent one of their patrol cars to the scene to investigate but were unable to find any traces of the vehicle.

“We have had not further reports about the incident,” added the spokesman.
