A man had to be rushed to hospital after suffering a life-threatening asthma attack.

The man in his 20s was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by the East Anglian Air Ambulance’s rapid response vehicle following the incident in Newmarket yesterday.

Dr Lazlo Hertzman and paramedic Jemma Varela from the charity provided treatment at the scene.

The man remains at the hospital in a serious but stable condition.
