Photographer Richard Snasdell visited the school, in Grange Road, to capture the various lessons being held that day. We see children acting out a play in their drama lesson, while others are busy painting and sticking. One group are listening to their teacher and another are studying newspapers.

The pupils pictured will now be in their 30s and may have only fleeting memories of these lessons, but they will, no doubt, look back on their primary school days fondly.

Our school days are, afterall, often referred to as ‘the best days of our lives’.
