Star Memories A night out for the lads at the Vodka Bar Ipswich in 1999

Archant

THESE lads were enjoying a night out at Ipswich’s vodka bar when they were caught on camera back in 1999 but can you remember what you were doing as we neared the end of the last millennium? The photo is one of several from 1999 that were found in our archives, do you recognise anyone in it? Or perhaps you remember one of the others featured in our gallery - above right.

We have a photo from the May Day celebrations in Alexandra Park in Ipswich, another showing the mayor and catering staff at the Mayor’s Ball and some of the Co-op Juniors who took part in their production of My Fair Lady. We also have a photo from the Felixstowe Half Marathon - did you take part in the last race of the 20th century?

Northgate High School celebrated a positive Ofsted report - were you a pupil at the time?

Or perhaps you were one of the pupils from Deben High School in Felixstowe snapped in their World Challenge T-shirts.

The 9th Ipswich Scouts presented a cheque for the Evening Star Hospice Appeal. Are you in the picture?

As ever, if you have any memories you wish to share with Ipswich Star readers, e-mail sharon.clark@archant.co.uk.
