WE ARE continuing our chronological look back to the 1960s now, as we take a look back through the Star’s picture archives.

Here we are remembering the year 1967 and hope that these pictures spark some happy memories.

We have an image from the Springfield Follies’ panto in January 1967, another from the Ipswich Council’s youth fete, which was staged in June that year/

In the gallery, above right, we also have a photo from the California Social Club’s children’s party in January 1967, Felixstowe Times road safety quiz winners photographed in November and a police retirement presentation at the town hall.

Ipswich YMCA ladies’ hockey team were photographed in November, 6th Ipswich Cubs’ also made a presentation to a retiring Cub-mistress that month and in the March an ATC inspection took place in Grimwade Street, Ipswich.

We’re always happy to hear your recollections from days gone by and, as ever, if you have any memories you wish to share with Star readers, drop us a line and we’ll feature your contributions at a later date.

Email starnews@archant.co.uk with your memories. To buy a copy of one of these photos, click on the myphotos24 link top left.
